Laoshan Village Black Needles is a first flush spring pick from the same growers as Classic Laoshan Black and Imperial Grade Laoshan Black. This tea undergoes meticulous processing from start to finish. One leaf and one bud are individually selected and hand plucked, then the tea is fried and processed into a thin, needle-like shape with a shiny, smooth texture.
Overall, it has a similar character to our other Laoshan Black teas, featuring distinctive dark chocolate notes. However, this tea also takes on the character of baked bread, sweet potato, and dried fruit. It is rich, deep in character, and thick and viscous. Truly a wonderful artisan tea!
