Laoshan is a small village near the sea in northeast China. Laoshan black teas are usually small and tippy, lacking the white pekoe-style hairs that give black teas their golden color.

Classic Laoshan Black, grown under the shadow of a sacred mountain, is very smooth and viscous with a robust flavor that has a distinct dark chocolate bite.

People often question whether sugar was added to this tea, but it's simply the weather and soil that make this tea naturally sweet and thick.

Classic Laoshan Black is one of our personal favorites at Tea Runners. It's a tea we always have on our shelf at home!

Spring 2022 Harvest.

Ingredients: Black tea.
Origin: Shandong, China

Mellow

This is a light colored, mellow, black tea. I like it because it’s not bitter. I think I will let it steep a little bit longer than it calls for though, because I like it a little stronger.

Easily my favorite black

Deep, rich flavors with zero bitters. Smoky, but not overwhelming slow.

Good tea for coffee lovers???

This tea, one of my top two favorites, is strong without being astringent or overpowering. It leaves a good aftertaste of chocolate, but it’s not drying. I don’t drink coffee, but it seems like this would be a good transition for someone trying to get away from coffee and into tea.

My favorite tea

This is easily my favorite tea. (I prefer strong black teas with no natural sweet flavor) It's got a hint of chocolate, but it doesn't have that overly sweet carmal taste to it. It's not too astringent. It's what I drink most often. If you like this tea I also recommend High Mountain Tu Cha Black.

Best black tea

This is easily the best black tea I've ever had. It's smooth and earthy and resteeps well. This is going to be a new staple in my tea cabinet.
