Qimen Black tea is a famous Chinese tea with a history going back hundreds of years.
This is the highest grade Qimen Black that can be obtained on a regular basis, albeit in very limited quantities. It has hardly any astringency despite its strength, brewing to a chocolatey and malty cup with a slight lingering sweetness. Floral notes further accentuate its elegance.

The Competition Grade Qimen black tea, while certainly expensive, is the best black tea I’ve ever had. I have also tried 2 other high-end black teas from TeaRunners and definitely liked them a lot (Feng Qing China Red and Himalayan Golden Black) - but it would be hard to top this Competition Qimen. It has a special chocolatey and malty nuanced taste, a soft smoothness, and a wonderful finish. I will be buying more.
