Purple Needle Black Tea of Jing Mai Mountain is crafted from naturally purple Zi Cha leaves grown in the mountainous Jingmai region of Yunnan. Carefully shaped into flat needles, the finished leaves are dark and elegant, with fine golden tips appearing throughout.
The clear, deep red-orange infusion is fragrant with florals and grapefruit. Bright citrus sweetness and lively fruit notes create a vibrant mouthfeel, while the finish is smooth, aromatic, and lingering.
Zi Cha develops its distinctive coloring from naturally occurring anthocyanin pigments. It is different from the wild purple, or Ye Sheng, varietal and offers its own unique flavor and aroma.
