How the Canada Post Strike Affects Tea Runners in Canada

Black Friday

The Canada Post strike will not affect our Black Friday sale. 

• Our Black Friday Sale will run from November 28 to Dec 3.
• The entire U.S. inventory will be available on this website (tearunners.ca)
• All orders will be imported into Canada (duty-free) and shipped via UPS around Dec 5th

 

Christmas Gift Subscriptions

Our popular Christmas Gift Subscriptions will very likely not be affected by the strike.

How it works:
On Christmas morning, your lucky recipient will receive an email notifying them of their gift and who it's from. They’ll have until December 31 to customize their first box, which is scheduled to ship around January 7th.

Christmas Gift Subscriptions are available for purchase now, and we don’t anticipate the ongoing strike lasting into January, so it’s very unlikely that orders of our Christmas Gift Subscriptions will be affected.

 

Regular Subscriptions

Unfortunately, our regular subscriptions are affected by this strike. 

Tea Runners uses Canada Post Lettermail to ship our subscription boxes within Canada, as it is the only service that allows us to offer free shipping.

Unfortunately, alternative carriers like UPS are significantly more expensive, costing around $18 per shipment compared to Lettermail’s $4.

We cannot ship subscription boxes while this strike is on.  

We are watching the situation closely and will keep our customers updated on the status of shipping the December boxes.
